I think this rag by  Scott  Joplin  was  supposidly celebrating the drinking of
illegal whisky brought in to the U.S  from Canada during the Prohibition period
in the 1920's.  What was that guy  Volstead thinking of when he introduced this
Act to the then ploitical leaders and law makers in the U.S.A? The Volstead Act
made some families very rich - including the bootliging Kennedy's!!
